Training Coordinator Overview
As
a training coordinator at Suncor Firebag, I consult with maintenance
supervision on regular basis to discuss required training for all maintenance
and site wide services crafts. In this role I am also responsible for
scheduling outside vendor training and all internal training for staff and
crafts. This includes receiving quotes creating shopping carts in SAP and
acquiring the PO.
The
training coordinator role at Suncor Firebag is also responsible for facilitating
some of Suncor’s internal training courses. These courses include training
operators and craft on the proper care and use of two different types of gas
monitoring equipment, Workplace Observation Training, Gas Detection, Nitrogen
Awareness & Nuclear Gauge Awareness.
Another
responsibility of the role is to manage training profiles in the LMS for staff,
positioned contractors and non-positioned contractors. This includes assigning
required and mandatory training to individuals and groups within the LMS. I am
also responsible for creating monthly training compliance reports for
Directors, Managers and Supervisors.
