Overview

  • Supervise numerous turnarounds/outages/shutdowns throughout Alberta BC and Saskatchewan
  • Facilitate new hire training
  • Assist in the development of policies and procedures & audit against them
  • Conduct incident investigations
  • Accounting on multi-million dollar projects
  • Communicate changes to regulations, policies and procedures to staff
  • Assist clients with safety concerns 
  • Participate in task hazard analysis for numerous tasks
  • Maintain, Calibrate and repair electronic gas monitoring equipment
  • Set up, monitor and dismantle multi-point electronic gas monitors
  • Facilitate daily toolbox talks and weekly/monthly safety meetings
  • Able to utilize multimedia technology and authoring tools for communications and toolbox/safety meetings
  • Developed the system that is used for creating safety training certificates using Microsoft Access, Microsoft Publisher and mail merge
  • H2S Safety Supervisor on drilling rigs, service rigs and well testers on sour locations throughout Alberta providing breathing air support and well site security
  • Confined Space Rescue
  • High Angle Rescue
When I started at Splash and Dore Safety in 2000 I was hired on as their IT/Electronics technician over the years as the company transitioned so did my position. When I left in 2010 the company was now called HSE Integrated and I was supervising their largest project. When this project was at its peak I had over 60 Safety Technicians reporting to me.
